Information we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password (your password is hashed by our authentication provider — we never see or store it in plain text). Business brokers additionally provide a brokerage name.
Listing information
When you create a listing, we collect the business details you enter: financials (asking price, revenue, cash flow), description, photos, and similar. Your business's exact address is collected but kept private — it is never shown to buyers or included in public listing pages. Listings are shown to buyers grouped by metro region only, specifically to protect your confidentiality.
Payment information
Broker subscription payments are processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number — only a subscription status and Stripe's own reference IDs, which we use to manage your billing.
Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you logged in (essential to the service — there is currently no advertising or cross-site tracking cookie). If we add anonymized listing-analytics cookies in the future, we will update this policy first.
How we use your information
- To operate your account and display your listings
- To generate AI-assisted listing titles and descriptions: the structured details you provide are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to draft this copy, which you always review and can edit before it's published
- To process broker subscription payments via Stripe
- To communicate with you about your account or listings
Who we share information with
We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and photo storage
- Stripe — processes broker subscription payments
- Anthropic — generates AI-assisted listing text from the details you provide
Published listing content (title, description, financials, region, industry, photos) is public by design — that's the point of a listing. Your account email, exact address, and any other private fields are never included in a public listing page.
Data retention
